‘Baywatch’ Reboot Sets Release Date At Fox

We knew it was coming in January and now we have a specific date. Fox’s upcoming Baywatch reboot will premiere Wednesday, January 6 at 9 pm.
Fox has not released its midseason schedule yet, but in the last couple of years, The Masked Singer has aired in the 8 pm timeslot and it is expected to remind in that slot in the upcoming season as a lead-in to Baywatch. This also marks the first time since 2024 that Fox has programmed scripted series on Wednesday nights (Animal Control aired at 9 pm followed by Family Guy at 9:30 pm that year).
The new Baywatch finds wild-child legacy character Hobie Buchannon, played by Stephen Amell, serving as a Baywatch Captain, following in his legendary father Mitch’s footsteps. Hobie’s world is turned upside down when his daughter, Charlie Vale (Jessica Belkin), shows up on his doorstep, eager to carry on the Buchannon family legacy. Members of the new Baywatch team include Hassie Harrison as Nat, Shay Mitchell as Trina, Thaddeus LaGrone as Brad, Noah Beck as Luke, and Brooks Nader as Selene.
In recurring roles, Livvy Dunne will make her acting debut as Grace and David Chokachi will reprise his original series character of Cody Madison.
In the reboot, Fox promises that “fans can expect all the adrenaline-fueled rescues, tangled relationships, complicated chemistry and beachside heroics that defined the original — now with a new cast, contemporary trappings, tensions and challenges, and a renewed mission to save lives along Los Angeles’ beaches.
