Rapid KL deploys alternative trains after Putrajaya Line brake system malfunction at Jalan Ipoh Station

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 23 — A brake system malfunction on a train at Jalan Ipoh Station caused a disruption on the Putrajaya Line today, Rapid KL said.

The operator announced the incident in a media statement issued this morning.

Rapid KL said it activated alternative train services to maintain passenger movement along affected stretches of the line.

“Technical teams have been dispatched to inspect and repair the affected system,” the operator said.

Rapid KL added that police officers and station staff had been deployed to assist passengers during the disruption.

Rapid KL listed the following alternative train arrangements:

• Trains from Kwasa Damansara Station turning back at Jalan Ipoh Station — five‑minute intervals
• Trains from Hospital Kuala Lumpur Station turning back at Putrajaya Sentral Station — six‑minute intervals
• Shuttle service between Kentonmen Station and Hospital Kuala Lumpur Station — seven‑minute intervals

Rapid KL said updates would be issued through its official social media channels and the MyRapid PULSE application.
