Is Facebook Down? Users Report Login Troubles

Facebook users trying to log in Wednesday afternoon reported experiencing problems accessing the social network. As of 1:21 p.m. Eastern Time Wednesday, Downdetector had received more than 1,100 reports of problems with the Meta-owned site.
Comments on Downdetector indicated users received errors saying accounts were “temporarily unavailable” because of an issue with teh site. “We expect this to be resolved shortly,” the notification said, according to Downdetector comments. “Please try again in a few minutes.”

Downdetector shows a spike in outage reports, but just as useful sometimes is its map of where those reports are coming from. Right now it looks like the outage is scattered throughout the US, with concentrations in large cities on the east cost, like New York City, Boston and further inland, Boston.
