Telugu filmmaker Naga Vamsi is the distributor of Rajinikanth’s ‘Jailer 2’ helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Recently, he has revealed that he approached director Nelson Dilipkumar to make a film for him. He said Nelson has agreed to work with him after completing his upcoming projects with Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan.According to Cinema Express, while speaking at a press meet, Naga

Vamsi

said he expected the sequel to perform better than the first film because of director Nelson Dilipkumar, composer

Anirudh Ravichander

and Rajinikanth.

Naga Vamsi delighted with ‘Jailer 2’ response

“Because of Nelson, Anirudh and Rajinikanth sir, I believe Jailer 2 will become bigger than the first part. When we bought the rights, many people said we had taken a risk. But now, it is paying off, and by this Sunday, the film will reach the break-even point everywhere,” he said.

‘Jailer 2’ distributors expect to recover investment

Naga Vamsi said the film’s early collections had boosted distributors’ confidence. He explained that distributors earning their commission was becoming increasingly rare in recent times, making the performance of ‘Jailer 2’ particularly satisfying.“Whether it is a film we produce or one we distribute, it gives us immense happiness when distributors earn their commission. In recent times, it has become increasingly rare for distributors to make such returns,” he said.

He added that many people had initially worried about the high price paid for the film’s rights. However, the collections from the evening shows on October 15 changed their outlook.“After seeing the collections from the evening shows on October 15, the distributors expressed confidence that they would definitely earn their commission,” he said.
