‘Worth’ Detective Drama From Mike Diliberti, Jake Coburn & Jack Carr In Development At NBC

Translate

EXCLUSIVE: Mike Diliberti is developing a new detective drama series titled Worth for NBC and Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group.

The series, on which Diliberti is writer-EP, revolves around decorated Army Ranger Will Worth, a brash war hero turned bestselling author and pop-culture celebrity who stops coasting on his fame when he returns home to his old job as a detective in Nashville.

Other executive producers on the project include Jake Coburn, whose Gatsby police procedural for NBC we just announced, and Jack Carr, the #1 New York Times bestselling author whose novel The Terminal List inspired Prime Video’s series starring Chris Pratt.

Diliberti is a filmmaker who made his feature debut with 2025’s Bad Man, an action comedy starring Seann William Scott, Johnny Simmons and Rob Riggle. Previously, he wrote Sony’s action comedy 30 Minutes or Less, produced by Ben Stiller and directed by Ruben Fleischer. He is repped by Verve, New School for management and Yorn Levine.

Coburn has teamed with Jason Tracey to write and exec produce Gatsby for NBC and UTV, as we first reported last week. Previously, he served as co-showrunner and executive producer of NBC’s The Hunting Party, and before that, was co-creator and executive producer of their crime drama The Endgame. He is repped by UTA and Brecheen Feldman Breimer.

Carr is a former Navy SEAL turned author who is an exec producer on Prime Video’s The Terminal List. His other works include True Believer, Savage Son, The Devil’s Hand, In the Blood, Only the Dead, Red Sky Mourning, Targeted: Beirut, Cry Havoc and The Fourth Option. Over his 20 years in Naval Special Warfare, he transitioned from an enlisted SEAL sniper, to a junior officer leading assault and sniper teams in Iraq and Afghanistan, to a platoon commander practicing counterinsurgency in the southern Philippines, to commanding a special operations task unit in the most Iranian-influenced section of southern Iraq throughout the tumultuous drawdown of U.S. forces. He is repped by CAA.
