Updated Betway Premiership standings after Week 4

Orlando Pirates remain top of the Betway Premiership will all 16 teams now having played four matches, with Mamelodi Sundowns breathing down their necks in a tightly contested start to the 2026/27 campaign.

The Buccaneers and Masandwana are both unbeaten and have collected 10 points from four games, but Orlando Pirates occupy first place thanks to their superior goal difference.

The latest standings show Orlando Pirates on +7, compared with Mamelodi Sundowns’ +6.

Orlando Pirates have won three of their opening four matches and drawn once, scoring eight goals while conceding just one.

Mamelodi Sundowns have matched that record, but have been more prolific in front of goal, but suspect at the back, scoring 11 times and conceding five.

Kaizer Chiefs third after unbeaten start

Kaizer Chiefs sit third on eight points after four matches.

The Amakhosi remain unbeaten, with two wins and two draws. They have scored eight goals and conceded four, giving them a healthy +4 goal difference.

That leaves Kaizer Chiefs just two points behind the leading duo as the early title race begins to take shape.

AmaZulu and Milford next best

AmaZulu and newly promoted Milford FC are next, both on seven points.

AmaZulu occupy fourth position, while Milford are fifth. Both have two wins, one draw and one defeat from their opening four matches.

There is little separating the teams in the middle of the table, with Golden Arrows sixth on six points and Sekhukhune United seventh, also on six.

Golden Arrows remain unbeaten after four matches, having recorded one win and three draws.

Tight battle in the middle

Durban City and TS Galaxy have both collected five points, with Durban City eighth and TS Galaxy ninth.

Polokwane City are 10th on five points, while Stellenbosch FC sit 11th on four.

The bottom half is led by Richards Bay and Chippa United, who both have three points.

Richards Bay are 12th with a -1 goal difference, while Chippa United are 13th on -3.

Pressure at the bottom

Siwelele occupy 14th place on two points after two draws and two defeats.

Marumo Gallants and Kruger United are at the foot of the table, with just one point each.

Both sides have lost three of their four matches, although Marumo Gallants have scored three goals compared with Kruger’s two.
