Kenyan content creator Milly wa Jesus has reflected on her journey from being a shy girl growing up in Dandora to building a platform beyond what she once imagined, crediting God for helping her overcome difficult moments in her life.

In a heartfelt message shared on Friday, October 9, 2026, Milly expressed gratitude for the personal transformation she has experienced, including healing from deep emotional wounds and overcoming challenges that once weighed heavily on her.

She said her life had given her numerous reasons to trust God, even through periods of pain and uncertainty.

“Lord, are You not the One who brought me out of darkness into Your marvellous light? The One who carried me through postpartum depression last year?” Milly wa Jesus said.

The content creator also looked back on her humble beginnings, recalling how she had grown from a shy girl in Dandora to someone with opportunities and a public platform she had never imagined.

“The One who took a shy girl from Dandora and gave her a platform beyond her wildest dreams? The One who broke generational curses and healed deep wounds?” she added.

Her reflection highlighted her appreciation for the changes in her life and the personal struggles she believes she has overcome along the way.

Milly wa Jesus opens up about postpartum depression

Milly’s latest message comes months after she revealed that she had quietly battled postpartum depression following childbirth.

In a heartfelt message shared on Friday, June 26, 2026, she revisited the difficult period she experienced the previous year, explaining that she had initially mistaken her condition for ordinary exhaustion.

“Last year, I was quietly battling postpartum depression,” she said.

Looking back, Milly said she had since come to understand that what she experienced was more than just tiredness.

“As I reflect on last year, I realise I wasn’t just tired; I was dealing with postpartum depression,” she explained.

She also expressed gratitude for having persevered through the difficult period, saying her recovery had given her renewed hope.

“Looking back, I’m so grateful I kept going because healing came,” Milly said.

A journey of faith and personal growth

Milly’s latest reflection brings together two important aspects of her personal story: her experience with postpartum depression and her journey from a shy girl in Dandora to a recognised content creator.

While acknowledging the challenges she has faced, she credited her faith with helping her navigate difficult seasons and appreciate how far she has come.
