Police are searching for four gunmen after three people were killed and one was injured in a Cape Town shooting.
According to police spokesperson Colonel Andrè Traut, they have launched a manhunt for four suspects following a shooting in Lentegeur, Mitchells Plain, late on Wednesday evening, that claimed the lives of three men and left a woman critically injured.
Traut added that police had responded to reports of a shooting in Blombos Street at approximately 23:15. On arrival, officers found two men with gunshot wounds. Both were dead. A third man, who had also sustained gunshot wounds, was found on Eisleben Road after apparently fleeing from the shooters. He was also declared dead.

A woman who had also been shot during the attack was taken to the hospital for medical treatment.
“It is alleged that four armed suspects, travelling in a white Nissan Almera with tinted windows, approached the victims and opened fire before fleeing the area. The motive for the shooting has not yet been officially established and forms part of the ongoing investigation. Police are also following up on information regarding a possible gang-related motive,” said Traut.
Western Cape police commissioner Lieutenant General Sizakhele Dyantyi expressed concern over the loss of life and called on investigators to swiftly identify and apprehend those responsible.
The latest shooting follows a bloody week. Ten people were killed in a shooting in Lwandle over the weekend, while another four were killed in Khayelitsha.
