United Bank for Africa Plc, has informed   shareholders and the investing public of a potential delay in the publication of its Audited Financial Statements (AFS) for the first half 2026, H1 ‘26, ended 30 June, as required by the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) listing rules.

This was disclosed by the Bank in a statement signed by Bili A. Odum , the Group’s company secretary/legal counsel.

According to the statement,  the Group’s Audited Accounts and Financial Statements for the first half 2026, H1’26, was considered and approved by the Board of Directors of United Bank for Africa Plc at its meeting held on August 13, 2026.

“However, the approval of the Central Bank of Nigeria is required before the release of the results, Odun added.

“ In this regard, the United Bank for Africa Plc has requested and obtained approval of the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) for an extension of time to file the Results on or before September 30, 2026, subject to obtaining the requisite regulatory approvals for the publication of its Audited Financial Statements (AFS).

“The Bank’s insiders are hereby reminded that the previously declared Closed Period in respect of transactions in the Bank’s securities remains in effect until twenty-four (24) hours after the publication of the Results,” the statement noted.
