Paris St Germain survived a major scare away at RC Strasbourg on Saturday, with coach Luis Enrique’s heavily rotated side eventually securing a 3-1 Ligue 1 win after trailing for much of the match.
Gio Reyna gave Strasbourg the lead in the first half, and the home side could have extended its advantage had PSG goalkeeper Matvey Safonov not produced a series of saves.
Ousmane Dembele then missed a second-half penalty for the champions, but PSG recovered through Ilya Zabarnyi before Dembele struck again late on. Desire Doue added a third in stoppage time to complete the comeback.
The result lifted PSG to the top of Ligue 1 on 14 points from seven matches, ahead of second-placed AS Monaco on goals scored. RC Strasbourg stands 12 with seven points.
Enrique made eight alterations from the team that beat Manchester City in the Champions League in midweek, retaining only Safonov, Warren Zaire-Emery and Maghnes Akliouche.

By then, however, the visitors had begun to take control, with Enrique sending on fresh legs from the bench. Dembele made amends for his penalty miss by delivering an excellent cross that defender Zabarnyi side-footed into the net.
Dembele then created space for himself on the edge of the box with some quick footwork and fired low into the net. Doue was left unmarked at the back post shortly afterwards and made no mistake, sealing PSG’s late victory.
