Starz Is Back On Verizon Fios As Carriage Dispute Settled

Translate

Starz and Verizon have inked a deal that restores all Starz channels, Starz On Demand and the Starz app to Verizon Fios.

Starz programming includes the full Power Universe and upcoming Power: Origins, drama Fightland, every episode of Outlander and the series’ prequel Outlander: Blood of my Blood as well as the upcoming season of the award-winning P-Valley, the current season of the crime drama S.W.A.T. Exiles and thriller Tip Toe.

“We are pleased to have reached a mutually beneficial agreement that brings Starz’s premium programming to Verizon Fios customers,” said Alison Hoffman, President, Starz Networks. “We remain committed to delivering bold storytelling for women and underrepresented audiences and to serving viewers who value our distinctive programming.”

Starz went dark on Verizon Fios early this month as the two weren’t able to reach agreement on a new distribution deal.

As per usual, details of the agreement weren’t released. Verizon complained at the start of the dispute that Starz was “selling its service direct to consumers for as low as $2.50 a month [but] demanding Verizon customers pay double that amount for access to the same content..” Starz insisted that Verizon “mischaracterized our position.”

Starz film offerings include Michael (Jaafar Jackson), Shelter (Jason Statham), In the Grey (Jake Gyllenhaal, Henry Cavill and Eiza González), and the musical comedy Power Ballad (Paul Rudd and Nick Jonas).
