Translate

After a biting cold front, Gauteng residents can finally look forward to a taste of spring, with warmer weather and clear skies expected across the province in the coming days.

Temperatures are forecast to climb into the mid to high 20s, while mornings will remain cool to cold.

According to AccuWeather forecasts, Gauteng will experience mostly clear and sunny conditions, with daytime temperatures gradually warming. No significant rainfall is expected this coming week.

In Pretoria, Monday will bring plenty of sunshine, with temperatures reaching a high of around 25°C and dropping to about 8°C in the morning.

The warmer weather will become more noticeable on Tuesday, when temperatures are expected to climb to 29°C, potentially Pretoria’s highest temperature since April.

Warm weather expected in Gauteng this coming week

Johannesburg will also start the week with chilly mornings before warmer conditions take over during the day. On Monday, the City of Gold is expected to record a minimum of 7°C and a maximum of 24°C under sunny skies.

Temperatures will rise further on Tuesday, with Johannesburg forecast to reach a high of 27°C.

Temperatures will remain relatively warm across the province throughout the week as spring approaches. Aside from Gauteng, the North-West, Mpumalanga, and Limpopo will also experience warm to hot weather in the coming days, with areas hitting 30 and above.

With clear skies and temperatures steadily climbing, Gauteng residents can expect a warm spell over the coming days as the province gets an early taste of spring.
