In an old interview with Filmymantra, Mushtaq Khan was asked about Salman Khan's dating life. He was specifically questioned about whether Sangeeta Bijlani had visited Salman Khan on a film set. The actor was also asked whether Salman Khan had visited Sangeeta Bijlani during shoots. Mushtaq Khan said such personal matters were not topics of discussion among them.He responded, "Iss tarah ki baatein humne kabhi kari bhi nahi aur kabhi poochha bhi nahi (We have never even discussed such things, nor have we ever asked about them).”

Mushtaq Khan then recalled an occasion involving Salman Khan during the Dubai schedule of 'Welcome'. He said, “I have never seen Sangeeta ji come to the set to meet him, but once, when we were shooting the film 'Welcome' in Dubai, Salman came to the hotel there."
