LEGO finally releases huge Godzilla set – here's where you can buy it

Translate

It's one of the most eagerly-awaited sets in 2026, and it's finally here: LEGO has today announced its first-ever Godzilla set, and you don't have long to wait.

At 5,363 pieces and standing at 70cm tall, it lives up to its reputation by being the biggest set in the LEGO Ideas collection.

In true homage to the King of the Monsters, there's a serious level of detail in this epic build that adds to the drama that we'd expect from the movie monster.

Combined, the LEGO pieces recreate the tell-tale scaly skin and build to depict the brilliant blue jagged dorsal fins and sweeping tail at the end. A lot of the build is movable: the shoulders, elbows, wrists and fingers are posable to add extra life to the King of Monsters.

Last but not least, the tongue can be swapped in for the Heat Ray element, which mimics Godzilla's memorable roar.

There's not too long to wait until you can click to order. LEGO currently has 'coming soon on 27 November 2026' listed on its website, which just so happens to be Black Friday, too.

Those who purchase the set between 27-30 November on the website or in store will also receive the LEGO Ideas Godzilla Logo and Footprint Set as a Gift with Purchase, while stocks last.

While we patiently await the 'buy now' button on the LEGO website, there are plenty of other movie-related items in the Ideas franchise available to buy right now.

One of the most recent launches from LEGO Ideas is the Wallace & Gromit set, which is back in stock mid-November. Digital Spy's Ian Sandwell declared in a review that the Easter eggs added in make the build "a joy for fans".

Another nostalgic movie icon is E.T., a build released earlier this year, with a hidden surprise within the body. It's currently discounted by 15% on Amazon.

Besides character builds from big movies, LEGO's franchise extends to famous houses, including the Home Alone house and more recently, Downtown Abbey's Highclere Castle.

LEGO Ideas Godzilla is available to buy from 27 November for £349.99, exclusively from The Lego Store.
