FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Las Vegas Raiders starting running back Ashton Jeanty (ankle/foot) will play in Sunday's matchup against the New England Patriots after being listed as questionable.

Jeanty worked on the field at Gillette Stadium pregame with team members watching, including general manager John Spytek, offensive coordinator Andrew Janocko, running backs coach Omar Young, and wellness coordinator Alex Guerrero.

Jeanty's status for Week 5 became uncertain after a flare-up of plantar fasciitis and an ankle injury he suffered in late August, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Jeanty went from being a full participant Wednesday to being limited Thursday and sidelined during the team's final practice before traveling to Massachusetts. Jeanty's foot injury didn't appear on the practice report until Thursday.

As a precaution, the Raiders elevated undrafted rookie running back Roman Hemby from the practice squad. Hemby was listed as inactive ahead of kickoff.

The Raiders will need better production from Jeanty to get their rushing attack going. His numbers have declined since rushing for 102 yards in the season-opening win against the Miami Dolphins. In the past three games, Jeanty has totaled 55 carries for 162 yards (2.9 yards per attempt).
