Transfer news LIVE: Arsenal plan Nusa bid, Yildiz; Scott to Chelsea twist; Man Utd boost; Liverpool latest

Translate

Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham are all pushing hard in the transfer market after the close of the summer window as we quickly head towards January. Arsenal are said to be preparing a bid for Antonio Nusa amid fresh interest in Kenan Yildiz, though Erling Haaland is believed to prefer a switch to LaLiga if he ends up leaving Manchester City.

Chelsea are understood to be leading the race for Alex Scott after his England masterclass against Croatia and could battle Liverpool for Nottingham Forest defender Murillo, while they may be back in for Jules Kounde at Barcelona. Manchester United have been handed a huge boost in their pursuit of David Raum as they also eye Igor Matanovic and Adrien Truffert, while Liverpool are also rumoured to be plotting a shock swoop for Tottenham captain Micky van de Ven and Mexico wonderkid Gilberto Mora.

A return to Tottenham for Troy Parrott looks tricky, with Spurs potentially looking at Vangelis Pavlidis instead as Roberto De Zerbi targets a potential reunion with Kaoru Mitoma. Follow all the latest transfer news, rumours and gossip live below!

Chelsea lead Alex Scott race - but there's a twist

Chelsea are said to be at the front of an increasingly long queue to sign Alex Scott.

The Blues tried to acquire Bournemouth’s star midfielder over the summer, but saw an offer worth £64m rebuffed.

Scott has continued to go from strength to strength since then, dazzling on his maiden senior England start in Saturday’s 7-0 rout of Croatia in the Nations League.

The Telegraph now report that Chelsea are leading the race to sign Scott in 2027, though Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City all apparently registered their own interest in the summer.

TEAMtalk even suggest that Real Madrid are also weighing up a move for the 23-year-old.

Arsenal reignite Kenan Yildiz interest

Arsenal also look to have reignited their interest in Kenan Yildiz.

The Juventus star has long been on the transfer radar in north London, with more links surfacing during the summer window before he suffered a foot fracture in August that has limited him to just one appearance so far this season.

According to Corriere dello Sport in Italy, Arsenal are interested in Yildiz again but face stiff competition from Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

A failure to qualify for the Champions League again this term would see Juventus surely lose the Turkish forward next summer.

Arsenal set to launch Antonio Nusa bid

Arsenal are preparing to launch an opening bid for Antonio Nusa, reports claim.

The Gunners are rumoured to have identified RB Leipzig’s Norway star as an ideal addition to their attack amid new injuries to the likes of Christos Tzolis and Kai Havertz.

According to Fussball News in Germany, Arsenal are plotting an offer for Nusa believed to be worth €40m (£34m).

However, Leipzig - who are extremely reluctant to lose the player in January - would apparently demand up to €65m (£55m).

Tottenham, Aston Villa and Newcastle are also said to be interested in Nusa, along with Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, AC Milan, Juventus, Napoli and Roma.

Chelsea to face Scott competition

Football Insider claims that Chelsea will face competition from Real Madrid for Alex Scott.

The Bournemouth midfielder was the subject of a failed bid from the Blues in the summer, but remained on the Dorset coast after the September deadline.

He is now interesting Arsenal, Liverpool and Madrid after making his first senior start for England against Croatia.

Spurs learn Parrott transfer decision

Tottenham have been issued a hands-off warning by Real Betis in their pursuit of Troy Parrott.

Estadio Deportivo claims that the La Liga side will not entertain any approaches for the Ireland striker, previously of Spurs, despite his £85million release clause in his contract.

Parrott is a new signing in Seville, having joined from AZ Alkmaar in the summer.

Chelsea leading race for Scott

Chelsea are leading the race to sign Alex Scott.

The Daily Telegraph reports that the Blues, who had a bid rejected for the midfielder by Bournemouth in the summer, are ahead of Arsenal and Liverpool in their pursuit of the England star, who made his first senior international start against Croatia earlier this week.

Arsenal prepare bid for Erling Haaland team-mate

Arsenal may already be considering new signings in the January transfer window after a spate of injury concerns during the international break.

Christos Tzolis and Kai Havertz are both undergoing assessment on hamstring injuries suffered playing for Greece and Germany respectively during the current extended three-week window, while Martin Odegaard took a knock to his ankle on Norway duty before making a quick recovery.

Declan Rice withdrew from the England squad and William Saliba remains sidelined, though there was at least some good news with fellow defenders Ben White, Piero Hincapie and Cristhian Mosquera all returning to training at London Colney, along with youngster Marli Salmon.

Still, the latest setbacks in attack for Arsenal will have fans already lamenting a risky summer transfer strategy in which they struggled to properly reinforce their options up front, missing out on high-profile deals for top targets such as Julian Alvarez and Vinicius Jr.

Chelsea leading race for Alex Scott after England masterclass

Chelsea fans have urged the club to sign Alex Scott after his midfield masterclass for England against Croatia, amid a new transfer boost.

Scott made his first start for the Three Lions in Saturday evening’s one-sided Nations League Group A3 fixture in Rijeka, lining up alongside Elliot Anderson in Thomas Tuchel’s engine room as he featured for 70 minutes in place of Arsenal’s Myles Lewis-Skelly.

It was a superb performance from the Bournemouth star, a regular and two-time European Championship winner for his country at youth level whose only previous senior England appearance came as a late replacement off the bench for Anderson during Tuesday night’s 2-0 win over 10-man Czech Republic in Prague.

When Max Dowman could leave Arsenal

It has been an eventful international break for Arsenal starlet Max Dowman, writes Matt Verri.

The 16-year-old scored the only goal of the match for England Under-19s against the Republic of Ireland.

Dowman then came off the bench in the win over Norway, before he was shown a straight red card against the USA on Friday.

The teenager was given his marching orders for a reckless challenge in the second half.

Dowman has already made an impact for Arsenal this season, scoring twice when starring in the Carabao Cup win over Ipswich last month.

With Dowman continuing to take opportunities whenever they are given to him, the challenge of steering his development is only getting harder for Arsenal.

Liverpool braced for Giovanni Leoni interest

Liverpool are bracing for fresh bids for Giovanni Leoni as Juventus have reportedly identified the player as an alternative to targets at Chelsea and Arsenal.

Italian centre-back Leoni signed for the Reds from Parma last summer in a £26m deal, but has made just one first-team appearance after rupturing his ACL on debut against Southampton in the Carabao Cup at Anfield last September.

He is finally thought to be closing in on a return to play, though, with reports suggesting he could feature for Liverpool after the international break.
