Price Tracker: Oil, fuel monitor for August 25-31, 2026

MANILA, Philippines — Local pump prices went up further in the last week of August, adding to previous week’s earlier increase in prices.
The Department of Energy announced the following price adjustment on Monday, August 24:
- Diesel - up by P2.31 per liter
- Gasoline - up by P1.08 per liter
- Kerosene - up by P0.95 per liter
These adjustments are valid until Monday next week, August 31.
The additional increase came after the 60-day ceasefire between the United States and Iran expired last week.
On Monday, Iran's Persian Gulf Strait Authority warned that vessels who violate its transit rules while passing by the Strait of Hormuz could face fines, detention or confiscation.
The Iranian Parliament has also drafted a law to force passing ships to pay service fees to Tehran.
