Felix Nmecha scored two goals late in the second half as Borussia Dortmund picked its third straight win in the Bundesliga, beating the newly-promoted Paderborn 3-0 at home.

Dortmund, which beat Villarreal 3-2 in the Champions League during the week on Tuesday, took a fifth-minute lead courtesy of Fabio Silva’s fine finish.

Forward Serhou Guirassy found the net twice in the opening half but had the goals ruled out for offside.

Nmecha came on in the 65th minute and needed just a quarter of an hour to find the breakthrough. He drilled a shot from the right side in the penalty box to beat Nahuel Moll.

One minute from end of regulation time, he produced an acrobatic bicycle kick on a set piece to secure the third goal.

Niko Kovac’s side now sits in second place in the Bundesliga standings. It is the only team along with Freiburg to maintain its perfect start to the season.
