Jodie Ramsey's life is hanging in the balance following a high-stakes Coronation Street cliffhanger.

After days of speculation, Thursday's episode revealed Jodie as the mystery character who was shot at the Platt house. The shocking moment marked a dramatic comeuppance after ten months of manipulation from Jodie, but is it really the end for her? Read on if you really want to know the answer…

While fans will have to tune in to see exactly how the drama plays out from here, Olivia Frances Brown – who plays Jodie – isn't thought to be leaving Corrie.

At the end of last month, unconfirmed reports from show insiders suggested that Olivia had just signed a new contract to stay on the show for another 12 months.

Sources say that Olivia has impressed bosses with her performances in recent months and that they still have big plans for the character.

Meanwhile, Olivia recently told Metro that fans can expect a "bleak" Christmas for Jodie – suggesting that she'll survive her current life-or-death crisis.

But as for how Jodie survives, we'll have to stay tuned as the aftermath plays out in Friday and Sunday's episodes.

Friday's scenes see a horrified David call an ambulance to report Jodie's shooting.

Paramedics rush to the scene, alongside a firearms officer, and Lisa Connor-Swain leads the way in questioning David about what happened.

Then on Sunday, the investigation takes another turn when Lisa wants to follow up on everyone's previous statements with further questions.

Shona is sure to panic, as she was the one who accidentally shot Jodie during the showdown at the Platt house.
