Kelly Osbourne Reveals Why She Cut Ties With “Polar Opposite” Sister

Kelly Osbourne has opened up about cutting older sister Aimee out of her life.

“We’re very different. Everything I am, she’s not. Everything she is, I’m not. Like, you couldn’t be more polar opposite. We’re like oil and water,” Ozzy Osbourne’s daughter told the We Need to Talk podcast this past Tuesday. By contrast, Kelly Osbourne and brother Jack Osbourne are the closest of siblings.

“Me and my brother, we grew very close. And we did everything together. We shared a room together. We shared clothes. Like it was always me and Jack. And when we were little, people used to think we were twins, because we looked a lot alike,” she said.

When asked whether Aimee Osbourne, who didn’t participate in the popular The Osbournes reality TV show on MTV, didn’t want to be seen alongside her parents, Sharon Obourne and the late Ozzy Osbourne, and her siblings, Kelly Osbourne replied: “If I’m honest, I do feel she was embarrassed of us… The whole family.”

She also revealed “resentment” towards her older sister. “How do I say this without sounding like a bitch? If you’re not going to accept me for who I am and constantly be trying to change me and say horrible things about me, and truly seem to thrive when I’m not doing well, I don’t want you in my life,” Osbourne said in the podcast.

No reconciliation with her older sister was in sight, Kelly Osbourne added, but she said of Aimee Osbourne, “I respect her. I accept her. But we’re different, and that’s OK.”

The lack of an older sister for guidance has impacted Kelly Osbourne, however. “I will tell you, it’s one of the hardest things of my life, that I never got a big sister, and I had to learn to do certain things that a big sister should have taught me on my own,” she said.
