While it is true that Angelina Jolie has sold off her historic Los Feliz property, the buyer’s identity continues to remain a mystery to all. There had been reports of Madonna buying out the property; however, Jolie’s realtor, Ernie Carswell, who co-listed the mansion along with the 'Mr.

and Mrs. Smith’ actress, shut down the rumours and talked about how the real buyer’s identity will remain private.

Angelina Jolie’s realtor dispels rumours about Madonna buying her property

During the latest episode of ‘The Society Group’s Real Talk Show,' Jolie’s realtor, Ernie Carswell, opened up about the ongoing rumours and reports surrounding the sale of her Los Feliz property. Once owned by Cecil B. DeMille and housing multiple stars in the industry, like Charlie Chaplin, Richard Grossman, and Lisa Lyons, the property had been put up for sale earlier this year, in April.Carswell shared that the house had indeed been sold; however, the ongoing rumours and reports of Madonna buying out the property are absurd. He added, “That’s not true ... It’s fun to see certain arms of the press kind of flop around. They’re so anxious to just get a name, and when we sign a non-disclosure agreement, protecting the buyer’s privacy, we do not utter a word and give any clues. So, in the absence of giving a clue, they kind of pulled something out of the air that’s not true.

”While he did not confirm the identity of the actual buyer during the show, he did share that the team behind selling Jolie’s home put every prospective buyer under a lens and conducted thorough background checks to avoid people who just wanted to catch a glimpse of the mansion. He added, “Part of my job as a listing agent is to prevent that from happening; only bona fide buyers who are qualified, and that’s what we did.”

Angelina Jolie sells home for USD 24.75 million

TMZ had earlier reported that the actress had sold the house for USD 24.75 million on September 24.

The New York Post had earlier reported that the ‘La Isla Bonita’ singer had gone through a private virtual tour of Jolie’s house, following which Robb Report had stated that Madonna had been the buyer behind the Oscar-winning actress’s 2-acre land.

During the show, Carswell also commented about how the actress is extremely happy with the sale of USD 24.75 million. He shared, “Doubly so. Quite. The ending was quite the climax after the journey we had been through on the market.

It’s a difficult market presently in Los Angeles, which is always just temporary until things go back up the rollercoaster. We had had enough of that challenge, and then it ended quite well for our client, so she was doubly happy.

”

The actress originally bought the property in Los Angeles in 2017. While talking to Vogue during a 2021 interview, the actress had opened up about her decision to buy out Cecil B. DeMille’s former home. At the time, she had stated, “I wanted it to be close to their dad, who is only five minutes away. I love most that there is no entertainment room, but lots of pathways and places to walk and think. I feel very fortunate we have that at this time.

”The Wall Street Journal confirmed that the actress had spent USD 24.5 million to buy the property, which had originally been built in 1913 by architect B. Cooper Corbett. The main residence itself spans 11,000 square feet.
