Dominic West and Sienna Miller star in trailer for all-new legal drama War

Sky has unveiled a new trailer for its upcoming legal drama War, which boasts a starry cast including Dominic West and Sienna Miller.

The new show, which is set to launch on 2 October on Sky and streaming service NOW and release weekly from then on, follows a high-profile divorce case between British tech entrepreneur Morgan Henderson (West) and international film star Carla Duval (Miller).

The new footage gives fans a first look at Morgan and Carla’s rival firms gearing up to secure victory for their clients.

"We can play dirty if we have to," legal partner Serena Byrne (Phoebe Fox), who represents Carla alongside James McArdle (Sexy Beast), says in the trailer.

"If they play dirty, we will be total and utter filth," Beatrice Ubosi (Nina Sosanya), who represents Morgan alongside St John Smallwood (Pip Torrens), then says.

The new trailer also gives us a look at young lawyer Johnny Warren (Archie Renaux), who soon gets caught up in the battle between the two firms.

Rounding out the cast are Celia Imrie, Nick Mohammed, Emma Laird, Aran Murphy, Archie Panjabi, Adrian Scarborough, Shaheen Jafargholi, Akiya Henry, Honor Swinton Byrne, Miles Jupp, Kartanya Maynard, Alexandra Mardell, Dylan Edwards, Mark Quartley and Steve Furst.

Behind the camera, the series has been created by George Kay (Lupin), who also serves as lead writer, with additional episodes written by Kelly Jones, Jess Brittain, Catherine Shepherd, Yemi Oyefuwa and Krissie Ducker.

Season 2 has already been commissioned, and will turn the series into an anthology, following the two rival firms as they take on a defamation case.

Miller previously teased that the first season is "fast paced", "really glossy" and "very plot based" while speaking to Radio Times and other press at Sky's Up Next event, before calling it "kind of dastardly".

She added: "It's about two opposing law firms who are representing two people in a very high profile divorce. So it's very much about the face that you put on and trying to cover up who you really are."

She continued: "My character is the senior associate partner of one of the law firms, the older, more staid law firm I guess. Her name is Beatrice Ubosi, but she's known as Her Majesty because 'Beatrice, B, Queen Bea, Her Majesty' – she kind of rules the roost.

"She is arched. She has a team who are clever and not above doing things in an underhand way."
