Atalanta are 11th on 11 points and haven’t won at home since beating Venezia on 12 October. Their last home game was a chaotic 4-4 draw with Frosinone, and they followed it with a 2-2 draw at Fiorentina on Thursday, when Charles De Ketelaere and Nicola Zalewski scored. Maurizio Sarri has warned his side not to underestimate Parma, pointing to their low block and threat on the counter.

Parma are in the bottom three on five points in Serie A so far. Alberto Gilardino is still looking for his first win since replacing Carlos Cuesta at the end of September, and Wednesday’s 0-0 draw with Udinese was his first point after three straight defeats. Bernabé had a penalty saved in that game.

Atalanta vs Parma – Team news

Atalanta’s injury crisis means Sarri has called up only 19 players. The latest additions to the list are Gianluca Gaetano with a medium-grade adductor strain in his right thigh. And Thomas Kristensen, who suffered a low-grade hamstring strain in his left thigh.

Both were hurt in Florence and will return after the international break. Raoul Bellanova, Gianluca Scamacca, Giacomo Raspadori, Sead Kolašinac, Franck Kessié, Isak Hien, Odilon Kossounou and Pompei are also out. Giorgio Scalvini is back in the squad.

Adrián Bernabé misses out for Parma after feeling a muscle problem in his left leg in training on Sunday. Elphege is back in the squad after appendicitis surgery.

Neither side has any players suspended.
