Musk Trailer: Elon Gets the Documentary He Deserves in Alex Gibney’s Latest: Watch

If you know a fair bit about tech billionaire Elon Musk, then you know that the trailer for Alex Gibney’s new documentary doesn’t get as deep as it could into the full range of his weirdness. However, a lot is still touched upon, from his efforts to colonize Mars, his dismantling of key American government agencies, his takeover of Twitter, and the ever-evolving answer to the question “exactly how many kids does he have?”

The simply-titled Musk also makes a point of calling out the way that Musk refers to himself as the founder of Tesla, despite only being the lead investor — “there’s no legal definition of founder,” a talking head points out.

Based on this trailer, it’s pretty obvious why Musk has already pissed off its subject. So you should of course watch it, especially for the chance to preview David Byrne’s original song for the soundtrack (using Musk’s own words for the lyrics).

Musk premieres in limited release on October 9th, and goes wide the following weekend.
