CNN And Google To Partner On AI “Experimental Features”

Translate

CNN said that it had reached a multi-year partnership with Google to experiment with AI products using the network’s content.

The network “will provide enhanced content rights enabling experimental features in Google products to help explore how generative AI can further drive engaged audiences across CNN’s journalism,” per an announcement.

The terms of the agreement were not announced, but CNN said that it was in line with its AI strategy “that ensures the safeguarding of its intellectual property.”

Sam Felix, senior vice president of strategic partnerships and business development, said in a statement,

“With this partnership we’re unlocking new pathways for audiences to access CNN’s unparalleled journalism while being compensated for the delivery and use of our unique intellectual property in connection with AI products.”
