Huawei, CelcomDigi join forces to upskill workforce

Translate

KUALA LUMPUR: Huawei Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd and CelcomDigi Bhd have entered into a three-year partnership to strengthen digital skills and develop future-ready talent across the telecommunications group's workforce.

Under a memorandum of understanding (MoU), Huawei Malaysia will provide CelcomDigi employees with access to advanced training, leadership development programmes and industry-recognised certifications in areas including artificial intelligence (AI), data analytics, 5G and cloud technologies.

The collaboration aims to equip employees with the skills needed to support innovation, business transformation and the adoption of emerging technologies, as industries become increasingly digitalised.

Huawei Malaysia chief executive officer Simon Sun said the partnership would draw on the company's global learning ecosystem and talent development framework to build capabilities aligned with CelcomDigi's business needs.

The programmes would cover executive digital leadership, business growth enablement, enterprise-wide industry certifications and digital transformation, he said.

CelcomDigi chief executive officer Albern Murty said sustained investment in people was essential as organisations sought to adapt to the pace of technological change.

"At CelcomDigi, we are building a workforce that can thrive in today's digital economy while helping shape the opportunities of tomorrow."

Through the partnership, employees will also gain exposure to emerging technologies, innovation frameworks and industry use cases, with opportunities to obtain Huawei certifications at associate, professional and expert levels.
