Actress Hayden Panettiere has died at the age of 36, according to TMZ.

“It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of our beloved Hayden. She was an incredible light and a force of nature who brought immeasurable love and joy to all who knew her — and to the millions who watched her onscreen,” a representative confirmed in a statement to ABC News.

Panettiere was best known for her starring roles on the NBC superhero series Heroes and ABC music drama Nashville, as well as a two-film run in the Scream franchise.
