Google launches Gemini for government services to improve public paperwork process

Google (GOOG)(GOOGL) launched Gemini for government services, which allows state and federal agencies to deploy pre-built or custom agents to improve efficiency across a wide range of tasks.
The new service, which is available in preview mode starting today, cooperates with a range of software firms that contract with the government, such as Oracle (ORCL), Salesforce (CRM) and ServiceNow (NOW). This allows agents to work within systems of record.
The agents can help speed up public services, such as answering freedom of information requests, document redactions, policy and regulatory research, vendor bid evaluations, analyzing grant and program expense audits, and document validations.
"Gemini for government services runs on Google Cloud's secure foundation and can be deployed using the Assured Workloads FedRAMP High Data Boundary, enforcing U.S. data residency and personnel controls," said Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian in a Tuesday blog post. "It works within the authorities, retention rules, and approval chains your agency already has."
