Kenya Power Announces Planned Electricity Maintenance in Western Kenya on September 19

Kenya Power has announced planned electricity maintenance in parts of Kakamega, Busia and Siaya counties on Saturday, September 19, 2026.

The scheduled interruptions will affect customers in several towns and surrounding areas as the utility company carries out maintenance on its electricity network.

Customers in the affected areas have been advised to make the necessary arrangements ahead of the scheduled interruptions.

Kakamega County

In Kakamega County, the maintenance will affect Mumias Sugar Factory and surrounding areas.

The interruption is scheduled to run from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

• Khwisero
• Bukura
• Mumias Town
• Shibale

• Ekero
• Adjacent customers

Busia County

In Busia County, the planned maintenance will affect Busia Town and surrounding areas.

The interruption will run from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
