Piotr Zielinski names the list of main Scudetto challengers and admits Inter have ‘the dream of winning the Champions League,’ especially after the performance with Real Madrid.
The midfielder was one of many players and directors attending this evening’s Premio Gentleman awards ceremony in Milan.
He returned to Italian soil after representing Poland on international duty and is ready to dive back in for training tomorrow.
Zielinski outlines Inter ambition

“We are a great team and I think we’ve proved that, because even if we go two goals down, we always manage to get back and achieve a result,” he told reporters including Tuttomercatoweb.
“That is our strength, but maybe it would be better if we score first and win 4-2.”

Inter came back from 2-0 down to beat Napoli and Udinese, as well as a 2-2 draw with Roma, so are joint leaders with them and Lazio.
Who does Zielinski see as their main challengers for the Scudetto this season?
“We’ll see as the campaign goes on and try above all to focus on ourselves. It’s the usual list of suspects, Roma, Juventus, Napoli, Milan, but also Como.”

Inter won the Serie A title and Coppa Italia last term, but went out early in the Champions League with an unexpected play-off defeat to Bodo/Glimt.
They haven’t started the tournament well this season either, losing 2-1 away to Real Madrid, but that performance still gave the players and fans hope for the future.
“Of course it is our dream to win the Champions League and we’ll give it our all, we’ll see how it goes. Not everyone can go to the Bernabeu and dominate the game the way we did, keep possession and create chances. Unfortunately, we lost on the night, but it showed us we are strong and we proved it in Madrid.”
