"Must-see" Oasis movie from Peaky Blinders boss confirms Disney+ release date

If you weren't able to watch Oasis: Don't Look Back in Anger on the big screen over the past few weeks, then fret not, as its streaming date on Disney+ has been confirmed. And in even better news, you won't have to wait long!

The film, which is written by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight, depicts the reunion of the iconic Britpop group ahead of their 2025 world tour, which saw brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher come together for the first time in 15 years.

After being released in cinemas earlier this month, it has now been confirmed that the documentary will come to Disney+ in the UK and Ireland on 9 October - and that isn't the only good news.

The streaming release will have new footage, including clips from the joint interview between the brothers. There will be full performances of iconic tunes such as 'Wonderwall' and 'Slide Away', while 'Half the World Away' will also be featured.

Directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, Oasis: Don't Look Back in Anger has been acclaimed by critics since its premiere at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival, with Rotten Tomatoes currently reporting a near-perfect approval rating of 97% from 72 reviews.

In Digital Spy's four-star review of the film, we wrote: "There's no controversy here, no wounds re-opened and nothing that fans won't already know about the band. For some, it might be hard to believe that nothing more dramatic happened on tour."

"An epic summer for Oasis fans becomes a euphoric cinematic experience. It's not perfect, but it's definitely, maybe the decade's best concert movie yet," opined Empire Magazine, while ABC Radio called it a "must-see".

The Observer was also full of praise, writing: "It's also an unexpectedly moving film about fandom: the unifying, quasi-religious experience of finding your tribe and the way that art can connect a wide and disparate group of people."

The news comes after the band announced their follow-up world tour, which is due to take place next year. Beginning in Glasgow in May 2027, the 42-date tour has already sold out just a few days after going on sale.

Oasis: Don't Look Back in Anger will stream on Disney+ from 9 October.
