‘Want to try your luck again?’: Iran’s Araghchi warning to Trump against renewed war

“Last time you wanted to ‘finish the job’, Iran emerged even stronger.

Iranian foreign minister Abbas Araghchi has issued a sharp warning to US President Donald Trump over his threat to “finish the job” against Tehran, saying Iran came out stronger from the previous confrontation.“Last time you wanted to ‘finish the job’, Iran emerged even stronger. Want to try your luck again? Be our guest. But be careful, we have unfinished jobs too,” Araghchi wrote on X.Taking aim at Netanyahu, the Iranian minister alleged that the Israeli leader was trying to pull the United States into another military conflict to avoid facing legal consequences at home. He cautioned that the fallout could affect both Israel and Trump.“Netanyahu is driving America into another war to stay out of jail, whatever the consequences for Israel—let alone POTUS,” Araghchi said.

Trump throws weight behind NetanyahuThe exchange followed Trump's public endorsement of Netanyahu ahead of Israel's October 27 parliamentary election. The US president praised the Israeli leader's handling of the confrontation with Iran and his role in pursuing peace. In a lengthy post on Truth Social addressed to the “Great People of Israel”, Trump called Netanyahu a “Great Warrior Prime Minister” and announced his “Complete and Total Endorsement” of his re-election campaign.

Trump also warned Israeli voters against choosing a different leader, suggesting that the United States might have to intervene if they picked the “wrong Leader”.“I am not inclined to do so,” he added.Trump has accused Iran of posing a threat to both Israel and the United States for decades, pointing to slogans such as “Death to Israel, Death to America”. He warned that Tehran could eventually act on those threats.Claiming that Iran had suffered significant military and financial setbacks, Trump said Washington would “soon finish the job” unless the country changed course quickly.
