Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino has dismissed claims by former Nairobi Chief Officer Geoffrey Mosiria that he has a secret second wife and another child, maintaining that his wife, Frida Muthoni Ongili, remains unbothered by the rumors.

Addressing the allegations during an interview, Babu brushed off the viral claims made by Mosiria regarding his personal life, insisting that his spouse understands him completely.

“My wife is not concerned about that because she knows me; she knows the person she got married to. I am married to Frida Muthoni Ongili, okay? That is my wife,” Babu said.

The lawmaker went further to challenge Mosiria to publicly produce the woman in question.

“Any other wife I am being given by Mosiria, I want that wife aatolewe in public aletwe,” Babu stated.

Opening up about his upbringing, the MP recalled being raised by a single mother following his father’s passing when he was in Class Three. He noted that growing up in a female-headed household gave him a deep appreciation for the struggles single mothers face in providing food and clothing for their families.

Reflecting on fatherhood and parental responsibility, Babu emphasized that he would never abandon any child of his under any circumstances.

“As Babu Owino, I cannot leave any of my children huko nje. How much can a child eat in a day?” he added, underscoring his commitment to taking full responsibility for his offspring.
