Cardi B’s Tiny Desk Concert has been one of the most anticipated in recent memory, and she delivered on the hype with an energetic set on Monday (Oct. 19).

The Bronx native brought her arena hits to the intimate setting of the NPR offices in Washington, D.C., for a boisterous run through her decorated catalog.

Rocking a suit jacket and latex pants, Cardi was flanked by a complete live band, and the dress code was all black because they were dressed to kill their performance.

The Grammy-winning rapper fittingly introduced her set with “Hello” from Am I the Drama? and moved into another standout from her sophomore album, “ErrTime.” “Let me get some water. You know I be smoking cigarettes,” Cardi quipped during a brief intermission.

Cardi B slowed down the pace for “Man of Your Word” as she ruminated on the deceit and cheating from a previous relationship.”You never loved me, f–k n—a,” she spewed.

Invasion of Privacy‘s “Be Careful” followed, and by that point, Cardi was sick of being in her feelings and the emotions tied to the last couple of tracks. “Change the vibes,” she ordered.

It was time for the hits, as the room immediately felt lighter as Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit “Up” led into her 2026 single “AH HA,” and then Cardi’s 2017 breakout anthem, “Bodak Yellow.”

The rapper can bring comedic relief to any room, and she joked about being hungry and not having any Maryland crab cakes or celery sticks in her rider. Even in the latex pants, Cardi could still move her hips as she swayed into her Tiny Desk closer and Diamond-certified Hot 100 No. 1 hit “I Like It” to finish things off.

It’s been a busy October for Cardi B, who turned 34 years old on Oct. 11. She surprised the Bardi Gang with a single on Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, which arrived earlier this month and is titled “Don’t Chart.”

The “WAP” rapper will also be the first artist to ever accept the Global Woman of the Year award at Billboard Canada Women In Music 2026 on Nov. 24.
