Coronation Street spoilers follow from Thursday's episode (29 October), which is available to watch now on ITVX and YouTube but hasn't aired on ITV1 yet.

Coronation Street's Sally Metcalfe is left devastated after a big change involving Lucy Parkinson in the latest episode. While Sally and Tim have been fostering Lucy, accusations in the youngster's journal are set to have dire consequences for Sally.

In today's (29 October) episode, which is available to stream now and is yet to air on ITV, Sally is worried after accidentally hitting Lucy during the latter's Halloween prank, mistakenly thinking she was an intruder.

However, her and Tim's breakfast is interrupted when social worker Ruth turns up unexpectedly, revealing she received a voicemail from Lucy. The latter heads out before Sally, Tim and Ruth talk, shooting Sally a victorious look as she leaves.

Ruth then relays "incidents" that Lucy has accused Sally of in her journal, alleging she is "controlling", treating her differently and saying "nasty" things behind her back.

Meanwhile, Christina – who knows she is Lucy's grandmother, though the child is unaware of it at the moment – spots Lucy on Maxine's bench, as her granddaughter reveals the vase hitting incident. Christina offers to have a cup of tea with Lucy to speak about it, though she is rejected.

Lucy then returns home, though is shocked when Ruth reveals she is being moved to a respite home, rather than Sally being in trouble as she had hoped.

Christina later worries about Lucy to George, notably over Sally hitting her, and is adamant that she needs to keep her granddaughter safe.

She later heads to Sally and Tim's, though things escalate after learning Lucy is in a respite home. Christina then brings up the vase incident, though as Sally tries to defend herself, Christina shouts at her, leading Tim to usher her out.

Sally is left in tears as Christina leaves, and Tim comforts her as she claims it's "all her fault".

Coronation Street airs on weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
