Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Madhya Pradesh captain Rajat Patidar scored his 18th First-Class century against Bihar in the Ranji Trophy on Tuesday.
Patidar reached the milestone off 119 balls, striking at 84 and hitting 12 fours. It was his second consecutive century, following his hundred against Pondicherry in the previous match. He missed Madhya Pradesh’s opening fixture against defending champion Jammu and Kashmir.
Patidar’s knock helped Madhya Pradesh strengthen its position after bowling out Bihar for 99 on Day 1. Saransh Jain was the standout performer with the ball, claiming seven wickets.
Earlier this year, Patidar became only the third captain, after MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma, to win multiple IPL titles, having led RCB to its second title.
