Coronation Street's Kit Green to leave Bernie concerned with new outburst

Kit Green explodes at his mother Bernie Winter as she undergoes cancer tests in upcoming Coronation Street scenes. Kit was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and is keeping the condition secret from his loved ones.

The enormity of his secret is clearly weighing on him, meaning it is only a matter of time until those around him find out.

In scenes set to air in tomorrow's episode, Kit accompanies Bernie and Dev Alahan to the hospital when she undergoes tests, but his support breaks down into conflict.

The scene begins with a consultant in the hospital recognising Kit, asking him if he is there to see him. Kit lies and says that he is there for "family reasons."

Dev also asks if he knows the consultant, to which Kit says, "You know what work's like, I'm never out of here."

Bernie comes out and embraces the two, telling them that she "just knows everything is going to be okay".

She explains that a young nurse named Paul carried out her appointment, which Bernie took as a sign from her late son, Paul Foreman.

Kit becomes visibly agitated, telling Bernie "you didn't know, you hoped" that everything would be okay, rattled from his recent diagnosis.

She tells Dev that they will book a holiday for just after her results are due, saying they should be "bold, confident, and tell the universe where to guide things".

Paul explodes, telling Bernie she needs to "stop with these stupid fairytales; they're pathetic. You're doing my head in".

He storms off, followed by an angry Dev, but will he open up to him about what is going on?

Coronation Street airs on weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
