Brewers manager reveals his biggest challenge during championship parade was not peeing himself

Translate

A championship parade comes after all the hard work is done ... or at least that's what most of us would think.

However, Milwaukee Brewers manager Pat Murphy revealed that he was put through a serious endurance test during his team's victory lap through Cream City (which sounds dirty, but I promise it isn't ... though somewhere out there, it might be. Who knows?).

The Brewers' skipper hopped on stage at the end of the parade route where he took a second to talk to Brewers play-by-play man Brian Anderson.

"I had to pee as bad as anybody has had to pee," Murphy said.

Now we need to pause for a second because this is something I have never considered about championship parades: it really is an assault on one's bladder.

We all know beer makes pee, but consider the sheer volume of suds you'd consume after winning the World Series.

Now imagine the awful feeling of having to unload like Seabiscuit after a pre-race trough of water, but you're on a fire truck only halfway through the parade route.

Brutal. But Murphy got the job done ... or did he?

"Good job holding it together," Anderson said.

"I didn't say I held it together," replied Murphy.

A stroke of brilliance that makes up for not using Jacob Misiorowski to close out Game 4.

That's a great joke to endear you to the crowd that is already in the palm of your hand even more. However, if there really was an accident, it clears your conscience while everyone in the crowd just thinks you're joshing.

What a run Pat Murphy is on.

Hopefully someone pointed him in the direction of the shiniest urinal Milwaukee has to offer.
