4 heart-stopping moments from women's Money in the Bank ladder match as Tiffany Stratton snatches briefcase

Translate

WWE Chief Content Officer Paul "Triple H" Levesque told fans before Money in the Bank started that it was going to be one of those "hold my breath until it’s over" kind of nights.

Roman Reigns’ title defense against LA Knight got the adrenaline pumping, but the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match begged the question: "Should I check my blood pressure?" Tiffany Stratton, Roxanne Perez, Sol Ruca, Lola Vice, Jacy Jayne and Lash Legend each went above and beyond to create a certain level of danger in the ring you don’t normally see.

Stratton would be the last one standing. She survived the scramble around the ladder to grab the briefcase and become the second woman ever to win the match twice. She initially won in 2024 and cashed in on Nia Jax to win the WWE Women’s Championship. Now, she’s just as dangerous as ever with a guaranteed title shot in the palms of her hand.

It was far from a cakewalk for "Tiffy Time." Her night started with a hard fall to the ground.

Stratton slams her head on the ground

Stratton was trying to give the WWE Universe a must-see moment almost at the jump. She climbed to the tallest ladder outside the ring and hoped to take out Legend, Ruca, Perez and Vice below.

However, as she went for the swanton dive, it appeared she didn’t get enough momentum on her flip. Stratton’s legs caught the wrestlers below her but her head slammed onto the padded ground below her.

Stratton immediately sat up and held her head for a few moments. The crowd nearly went silent as officials continuously checked on Stratton to make sure she was OK. It was a very scary fall that could have gone much, much worse than it did.

Somehow, Stratton was able to continue on through the match and pick up the win.

Sol’s splash through the ladder

If the Stratton head bang wasn’t enough to have you scream "Oh s---!" in your living room or at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Ruca took the heart-stopping moments to a new level.

Legend found herself in a precarious position. She was sprawled out on a ladder that was wedged between the ring apron and the announce table. She was a sitting duck and Ruca took advantage.

Ruca jumped to the top of the turnbuckle, gave Legend a polite wave and hit a frog splash that sent both competitors through the ladder. Legend writhed in pain on the ground as Ruca took a second on her back to gather herself.

Jayne and Vice’s dangerous tumble

Jacy Jayne told OutKick Dropkick she was going to be "Jacy in the Bank" by the end of the night. She wouldn’t share her strategy, but made clear she was studying up on each wrestler’s tendencies before going into the match. But nothing could have prepared her for her fall.

Jayne went up to grab the briefcase with a ladder wedged in between the ropes and the one she was standing on as she tried to grasp at her title opportunity. Behind her was Vice, who wasn’t going to let Jayne get her mitts on that case.

Vice had Jayne in a chokehold. They fell backward and onto the perpendicular ladder. Instead of falling through it, the two superstars tipped the ladder up and they slid down it and out of the ring and onto the floor. Their backs scarred.

Both seemed to be OK but they wouldn’t be factors through the final scramble.

Sol hangs by a thread

Ruca had a very good opportunity to get the briefcase herself. She and Stratton were on the ladder at the same time, fighting to gain some kind of advantage.

Jayne came out of nowhere and pushed the ladder down. Stratton narrowly avoided getting tangled in the ropes. Ruca hung onto the hook that carried the briefcase.

She then dropped from the hanger and landed on top of Jayne, Stratton and Legend.
