Pitso returns to Al Ahly ahead of Bafana Bafana friendly!

Bafana Bafana head coach Pitso Mosimane paid a visit to Al Ahly ahead of his team’s international friendly with Egypt.

The two teams – Bafana Bafana and Egypt – will face off at Cairo International Stadium on Sunday, 4 October.

Kick-off is at 20:00 SA time..

Mosimane made unforgettable memories with Al Ahly whom he won two CAF Champions League titles with during his stint.

The now 62-year-old mentor reached three consecutive CAF Champions League finals in 2020, 2021 and 2022.

He had joined Al Ahly from Mamelodi Sundowns in September 2020, and left the Egyptian giants in June 2022.

During his time there, Mosimane was in charge of 97 competitive matches, recorded 65 wins, drew 22 and lost just 10.

Mosimane also won two CAF Super Cup titles, one Egypt Cup, and two Egyptian Super Cup titles with Al Ahly.

He also won two FIFA Club World Cup bronze medals with the Red Devils of Africa – this was a huge success for the club.
