How Milan plan to beat Arsenal and Barcelona to Brugge’s Tresoldi

Milan are hoping Nicolò Tresoldi’s affection for the club can help them beat a host of European giants to the Club Brugge striker.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, via Calciomercato.com, Gerry Cardinale is determined to bring the 22-year-old to San Siro, either in January or next summer.
The RedBird founder has told Milan’s recruitment staff to stay in close contact with the player’s camp, with the Pink Paper reporting €53m available in the club’s accounts for transfers.
Tresoldi, a boyhood Milan supporter, scored a hat-trick against Inter at San Siro in Tuesday’s 4-3 Champions League win.

The Rossoneri will not have a clear run. Arsenal, Barcelona, Atlético Madrid, Bayern Munich, Tottenham and Inter are all tracking a forward valued at more than €50m. He has 32 goals in 69 games for Brugge and is under contract until June 2029, and the Belgian side rejected a €35m bid from Roma in August.
Milan believe their relationship with Brugge, who sold them Ardon Jashari in 2025, could give them an edge. His father Emanuele, a former Atalanta full-back, has admitted the family’s Milan allegiance matters.
Tresoldi has also yet to choose between Italy and Germany. He has 16 goals in 27 games for Germany’s Under-21s, and helped them qualify for the 2027 European Championship last week.
