A new take on the great East Coast escape

When it comes to holiday destinations, Pahang might be better known for its cool highlands, rainforests, and adventurous escapes.

If you’re after something lighter, or simply feeling peckish, The Deli offers freshly baked pastries and sweet treats alongside savoury favourites, all best enjoyed with a hot cup of coffee and a gentle ocean breeze.

Malibu offers a more laid-back setting from 5pm to midnight, with soothing music that instantly relaxes, and a complete bar menu featuring cocktails, spirits, and mocktails.

On Friday and Saturday nights, dinner moves down to the shore with BBQ By The Beach, where guests can enjoy freshly grilled dishes by the sea.

On Saturdays, the meal is accompanied by an energetic fire performance against the backdrop of the South China Sea.

What stood out the most was how easily the resort caters to different kinds of travellers.

Those aged four to 12 can keep entertained at The Young Citizens of the World Kids’ Club, while just about anybody can enjoy the Batik painting and MasterChef workshops.

Parents can squeeze in a workout at the adjoining gym, while dedicated courts for tennis and pickleball matches provide ways to feel active.

Nearby, there is also a dedicated Kids’ Splash Pool for younger guests, while the main pool offers another spot for everyone to cool off.

And there’s more fun on the beach. Guests can get moving with beach volleyball, mini soccer, or seaside archery.

To cool off and unwind, retreat to the shaded hammocks, or to Soulé Spa & Retreat, which offers a more tranquil escape surrounded by greenery and designed around the idea of “Soul and Ease”.

The resort isn’t built just for holidays either. With seven event spaces, it also caters for celebrations, corporate retreats, and even destination weddings.
