5 Coronation Street spoilers for tonight reveal Jodie's big police decision

Translate

Coronation Street spoilers follow from Sunday's episode (11 October), which is available to watch now on ITVX and YouTube but hasn't aired on ITV1 yet.

In tonight's Coronation Street, Jodie faces David and Shona again in the aftermath of the shooting – is she finally ready to stop playing games?

Meanwhile, Gary shares some worrying news with his family, and Kit tells Bethany the truth about his illness.

Read on for five big moments from Sunday's episode…

1. Jodie makes her decision

ITV

Shona and David panic when Lisa summons them to the police station, as there are still unanswered questions after Jodie's shooting.

The couple stick to their false story, then go to see Jodie in hospital. Jodie confirms that she covered for Shona when questioned by the police, which should help the couple avoid further scrutiny.

But with Jodie's long list of misdeeds to consider, can the Platts ever truly forgive her?

2. Time could be running out for Gary

Gary tells his family that he's received a court date – he's due to face the music in two weeks' time following his involvement in Theo's murder cover-up.

As there's a possibility that Gary could be going to prison, Jake struggles with the situation and feels badly let down by his dad.

3. Kit lies to Sarah – but is honest with Bethany

ITV

Kit feels under pressure when he learns that Sarah wants him to act as a character witness for her in court. He visits her in prison and explains that he won't be part of the trial as it could be seen as a conflict of interest.

Later, when Bethany confronts him for seeming so uncaring about Sarah, the troubled detective reveals the real reason – he'll be undergoing chemotherapy treatment and can't attend the court dates.

4. Idris makes sabotage claims

ITV

Speed Daal faces a potential scandal when several customers – including a very outspoken Tracy – complain that they're suffering from food poisoning after eating at the restaurant.

Leanne, Idris and Ollie discover that the problem lies with a delivery of out-of-date meat, which Nick was responsible for.

While Nick protests that it's an innocent mistake, Idris reckons that he seized an opportunity to sabotage Speed Daal and boost the Bistro.

5. Debbie tries to hide her symptoms

ITV

Debbie forgets that she's booked the day off to spend time with Ronnie, so she prepares to head to work. When Ronnie questions her about this, Debbie doesn't want to acknowledge any problem and lies that she's too busy to take annual leave.

At the hotel, Ronnie thanks Ryan for keeping Debbie busy when she shouldn't even be there. Debbie witnesses this and is upset that they're clearly talking about her.

Coronation Street airs on weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
