Minister of Industry Khaled Hashem said Egypt Forum 2026 would help strengthen the industrial sector by addressing challenges facing manufacturers and fostering dialogue between the government and industry stakeholders to promote growth, attract investment and support domestic production.

In an interview with Extra News on Friday, October 23, 2026, Hashem said holding the forum at this time reflects the government’s commitment to listening to manufacturers, removing obstacles to their operations and developing practical solutions to the challenges they face.

These efforts, he added, would help create more opportunities for young people and support Egypt’s broader economic development.

The minister noted that the government is working to simplify industrial licensing procedures and accelerate the approval process through clear, streamlined mechanisms.

He also highlighted the role of universities in contributing ideas and proposals at the forum, saying their participation could help address challenges facing the industrial sector in the coming period.

Hashem further announced the implementation of new measures to simplify the procedures factories must follow to obtain insurance documents through the Ten-Year Insurance Pool (Al-Mogamaa Al-Ashariya).

The measures are intended to reduce the financial and administrative burdens on industrial investors, speed up project implementation and facilitate the start of production.

He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to reviewing and streamlining administrative procedures and expanding their digitization to improve the business environment and encourage industrial investment.
