Mimaropa tops 2025 PSA Awards

CALAPAN CITY, ORIENTAL MINDORO, Philippines — The Philippine Statistics Authority Regional Statistical Services Office (PSA RSSO) Mimaropa placed first among the agency’s regional statistical offices in the 2025 PSA Awards held in Quezon City on Thursday, Sept. 17.

In a post on Thursday, PSA Mimaropa said this recognition marked the second time the regional office had secured the top spot in the annual awards.

According to the PSA regional office, the award recognized the office’s performance in delivering statistical and civil registration services in the Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan) region.

PSA Mimaropa said the recognition reflected the “dedication, hard work, and commitment to excellence” of its personnel in providing statistical and civil registration services to the public.

The PSA Awards are an incentive program designed to encourage the timely delivery of quality outputs in the implementation of the agency’s mandated activities. PSA said the awards are also intended to increase the agency’s visibility among stakeholders.

PSA records show that Mimaropa has consistently figured among the country’s top-performing regional statistical offices. It placed second in the 2022 PSA Awards and fourth in 2021.

The regional office also placed fourth among the top five RSSOs in the 2023 PSA Awards.

The latest recognition comes as PSA Mimaropa continues to provide official statistics and civil registration services across the region’s five provinces and highly urbanized city of Puerto Princesa. /cb
