Special Fall 2: Deadpoint Screenings Will Make Viewers Stand on a Literal Ledge

Translate

From the same studio that brought you watching The Long Walk on a treadmill comes watching a movie about mountain climbing while standing on a literal ledge. Two special invite-only screenings of the upcoming Fall 2: Deadpoint will place audiences on elevated platforms for the duration of the film, “testing their balance and endurance as the tension builds on screen.”

The screenings will take place on August 22nd, as an activation “designed to bring the core thrills of the film to life, tapping into the fear of heights, as well as the exposure, vulnerability, and survival that define Fall 2: Deadpoint.” Like the Long Walk screenings, attendees will be challenged to stay on the ledge for the entire movie. (Does this mean you have to leave the theater if you fall off? Consequence has reached out to Lionsgate to confirm.)

Fall 2 follows the first Fall movie (available on Amazon now) with a new setting: Per the official description, “On a perilous climb across Thailand’s Mount Kwan, two climbers become trapped thousands of feet above the ground, where vertigo-inducing heights, sheer exposure, and impossible odds turn every moment into a fight for survival.” Directed by The Spierig Brothers, the movie stars Harriet Slater, Arsema Thomas, and Tom Brittney. You can see it in theaters (in a seated position) starting September 2nd — check out the trailer below.
