S’wak chopper crash victims died from burn injuries, say police

The five victims involved in the Flying Doctor Service helicopter crash in Long Lellang on Tuesday died due to severe burn injuries, Sarawak police said today.
Bernama reported Sarawak police commissioner Zainal Abdullah as saying the victims’ post-mortems were completed at 7.30pm yesterday.
“For now, we are awaiting the results of the DNA samples for scientific confirmation,” he told Bernama.
The BO-105 helicopter was carrying four healthcare workers and the pilot when it crashed near the Long Lellang STOLport.
The victims were identified as the pilot, Zainol Afiq Bee Sham, 30; medical officer Dr Ainul Baraah Kamaruddin, 33; medical assistant Alexson Adit Henry, 31; and nurses, Debra Moset, 40, and Jessie Paya Jok, 44.
