FWD Malaysia partners GivingHub to deliver health education, cancer screening for B40 families

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 22 — FWD Malaysia has announced a charitable grant to GivingHub that will support 170 low‑income families through health education, financial literacy workshops, and cancer screening sessions.

Empowering B40 families through health and financial resilience

The initiative, launched under Program SEDIABersedia: Hari Ini. Terlindung Esok, aims to help families build healthier and more financially secure futures. Participants will receive nutrition and healthy living education, attend financial literacy workshops, and undergo cancer screening and consultations to improve health awareness and preparedness for unexpected life events.

FWD Malaysia Country Chief Executive Officer Aman Chowla said the programme reflects the company’s commitment to creating meaningful impact beyond insurance protection.

“At FWD, we believe that creating meaningful impact goes beyond providing protection. It’s about helping people build healthier, more resilient and financially secure futures,” he said.

Partnership rooted in community impact

GivingHub Managing Director Chun Wah Hoo said the collaboration ensures that essential knowledge reaches those who need it most.

“Access to health knowledge and financial literacy shouldn’t be a privilege. It should be a foundation every family can build on,” he said, adding that the partnership will bring practical health screenings and financial planning skills directly to underserved communities.

Part of FWD’s regional anniversary initiative

The grant is part of FWD Group’s 13th‑anniversary commitment to support more than 13,000 people across Asia through charitable programmes. Established in 2013, FWD Group has grown into a pan‑Asian life and health insurer serving millions of customers across 10 markets, including Malaysia, Hong Kong SAR, Macau SAR, and Thailand.

In July 2025, FWD Group marked another milestone with its listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (1828.HK).
