Euromatch NPFL: Enyimba Can End Winless Run Against Kano Pillars – Assistant Coach Ejeh

Enyimba assistant coach Okechukwu Ejeh has insisted that the People’s Elephant are in Kano with a clear objective, declaring that they are not there for “a tea party,” Completesports.com reports.

Emmanuel Deutsch’s side will face Kano Pillars in a Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 6 fixture at the Sani Abacha Stadium on Sunday.

Enyimba, who still have a game in hand, have endured a difficult start to the campaign, losing all four of their league matches so far.

The nine-time champions currently sit at the bottom of the NPFL table.

Ejeh In Buoyant Mood For Pillars Clash

However, Ejeh remains confident that the Aba-based club can return home with a positive result.

“We are not here for a tea party; we are here for serious business. We are here to get the three points,” Ejeh told the club’s media.

“We are mentally ready, physically ready and tactically ready for this game. Believe me, we are optimistic that we are not leaving this ancient city empty-handed.”

Top Three Finish Still Possible

Despite Enyimba’s poor start to the season, Ejeh remains confident that the club can still achieve its target of securing continental football at the end of the campaign.

“Our vision remains to play on the continent. We are not too worried about our position for now. We will get the continental ticket,” he added.
