A popular Evil Dead star who has been missing from the franchise for years just spoke about the possibility of her returning to battle the Deadites again.

Since the first film premiered in 1981, the Evil Dead movies and TV show have introduced several extremely memorable characters. Thanks to the immense popularity of the franchise, there are many people who have wanted to see some actors return to those roles years later. Now, one of the actors who portrayed one of the horror series' most popular protagonists, who hasn't been seen in years, has addressed the possibility of embodying her again.

Since starring in 2013's Evil Dead as Mia Allen, Jane Levy has yet to appear in any of the horror series' recent sequels. However, in October 2026, she appeared at a screening of her 2013 film, hosted by Contra Celluloid, and took part in a question-and-answer session. During the discussion, as seen in an X video posted by Deadline, Levy asked those in attendance for their take on whether she should return to the world of Evil Dead.

"I have a question. Do you guys think Mia should come back to Evil Dead?"

In response to the actor's question, those in attendance erupted with passionate approval. After pausing for a moment, Levy then joked about calling the creator and overseer of the Evil Dead franchise, Sam Raimi, to gauge his interest in bringing Mia Allen back.

"Okay cool, I was just checking. That's all. Let's call Sam's Skype number right now and see if he wants Mia to come back."

Arguably one of the Evil Dead franchise's most fleshed-out characters, Mia Allen was an immensely compelling figure viewers became deeply invested in as she went through a stunning amount of suffering. That and a desire to see how she has grown since then could be enough of a reason to bring Levy back to battle the Deadites again. Following the ending of 2026's Evil Dead Burn, the potential of getting to see her grapple with Alyssa Sutherland's Ellie is another tantalizing reason to bring her back.

Since Bruce Campbell said he is done with Evil Dead during an interview with ScreenRant's Grant Hermanns, it seems certain Ash Williams won't appear again. After all, it seems hard to imagine another actor ever taking up his boom stick and chainsaw. As a result, Mia Allen arguably is the franchise's most notable missing character who could return, at least for viewers who focus on the movies alone.

One reason to think that Levy returning to the Evil Dead franchise seems possible is the fact that Sam Raimi expressed openness to that possibility in the past. While talking to Bloody Disgusting in July 2019, he remarked that he would be "very happy to work with" Fede Álvarez on a sequel to the 2013 film. While he didn't mention Mia Allen or her actor by name while making those comments, any potential sequel certainly would have included her. So, clearly, he was open to seeing more of the character.
